This IV course is for RN's and LVN's. It is also for MA's, A's, and other Certified health care professionals working under the direct supervision of an RN, or MD. This is a basic IV therapy class that prepares the student to insert a peripheral short catherter IV in the upper extremities. THIS IS NOT AN INFUSION THERAPIST COURSE.
CLASSES ARE HELD THE LAST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH EXCEPT DECEMBER. CLASSES ARE FROM 9AM - 5:30PM.

Our Instructors are experienced RN's with combined experience equaling more than 50 years. We are patient and will help you to succeed.

6 or more students pay $200.00 each if paid together.
We will hold the IV didactic portion as a Virtual Classto protect you, me and my staff due to the CoVid-19 virus. We will conduct the didactic portion of the class as a Webinar. Prior to the class you will be assigned a time slot to come to the office and practice and be checked off for competency. You will receive your checkoff to give your employer and a certificate when you complete the practice and checkoff portion of the class.
At completion of this course, the student will be able to safely insert a peripheral IV and maintain intravenous therapy in an acute Medical/Surgical, Nursing Home, Home Health, or Physician's Office setting. Non-Nurses will not be able to practice IV Therapy in the Nursing Home, or Home Health setting.

This 8 hr. class covers all of the basic didactic training required to safely start and maintain an IV.
The second half of the class is devoted to IV insertion practice, RN's and LVN's also practice MID/PICC/Central Line Dressing change techniques.
Students receive competency check-offs, and a certificate at the end of the class.
We are offering advanced IV maintenance and care at an additional charge. $200.00.
